Chamber
Publishes Annual Community Magazine in Print &
Online
The
2008 edition of Images of Macon County/Franklin,
a community magazine sponsored by the Franklin
Area Chamber of Commerce, was published in February.
Images of Macon County/Franklin is a vibrant,
newsstand-quality magazine that showcases the
best of Macon County/Franklin through its people,
places and progressive business climate. With
all new original photography and editorial features,
the 2008 publication focuses on specific areas
of education, the arts, sports and recreation,
health care, commerce and quality of life. It
will be used all year for the purpose of promoting
the community to prospective residents, new businesses
and visitors.
“Images of Macon County/Franklin 2008 illustrates
the great quality of life we enjoy in our community
and promotes our economic strength and growth
potential to new businesses,” says Chamber
Executive Director Linda Harbuck. “Best
of all, this highly targeted marketing tool captures
the defined audience our members most want to
reach.”
More than 5,000 copies of the magazine will
be distributed through the Chamber and key local
businesses, as well as at trade shows, conferences
and events throughout the year.
To create a quality guide like Images of Macon
County/Franklin, the Chamber partners with Journal
Communications (jnlcom.com), an award-winning
custom publisher of community and specialty magazines
with clients in more than 30 states.
The print magazine is just one part of Journal’s
complete publishing program that also includes
an online magazine and photographic video tour
of the community, a targeted distribution network
and a customer acquisition and retention program.
“Journal is proud to partner with a progressive
community like Macon County/Franklin,” says
Ray Langen, Executive Vice President for Journal
Communications. “Great communities make
great subjects, and we anticipate a spectacular
publication this year. Together we will make Images
of Macon County/Franklin the most effective tool
to generate a strong return on investment or advertisers
and to promote growth in the area.”
