The Gold & Silver Exchange is located at 143 Franklin Plaza Drive. Opening his tenth location in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, Owner Tom Van Wyk says he has built a reputation by treating people fairly. The shop only deals with gold, silver and coins and is open 7 days a week, Monday through Friday from 9am until 7pm, Saturday 9am until 5pm and Sunday 1pm until 5pm. Tom invites you to stop by and see Tom, Harold or Linda and see why so many choose to do business with them.  Appalachian Harvest has opened a store at 70 Iotla Street. Appalachian Harvest specializes in preserves, jams, jellies and pickled items. A family owned and operated business, Kimberly and Kevin Baldwin, use recipes that have been passed down through the generations. The shop is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am until 5pm. Now in their 11th year of business, the Baldwin's products have been featured in Paula Dean's magazine as well as purchased by chefs on the Food Network.
